What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Hi,

My H-1B was renewed in Aug-2015 for Client A. In Mar-2017 the project was ended. Now I'm working for Client B with same employer and within same MSA (Metropolitan Statistical area). I'm planing to go to India in next 2 weeks and i've to get Visa stamping also.

Do i need H-1B Amendment ?

According to USCIS, if the Client job location is within same MSA for same employer, then only LCA update is sufficient. No need of H-1B Amendment.
Please advice me.

Thank You
Rahul

What do you mean by "client A" and "client B." H1B visa holders have EMPLOYERS, not clients. Body shopping you out to clients is 100% illegal use of the H1B process. You better be talking to a lawyer. You and your employer are committing immigration fraud and you could be facing deportation and a permanent bar.

No amount of "amending" to your H1B makes this legal.

Moving your worksite (if you were legitimately employed) is what triggers issues requiring H1B amendment. If they move you to another ASA **OR** the new work location is beyond a normal commute from the first worksite (even in the same MSA), then your authorization needs to be ammended.
