What is the name of your state? IL

I have going to have my OPT valid until the end of December 2005. Is it possible to convert to a H1b within this year? Like have my H1B start from October 1, 2005? What is the earliest date to apply for this h1b visa? And would you recommend premium processing?

Thanks,

Amir

Yes, you can certainly change to H-1B status once the H-1B visas will be available and, unless you would qualify for one of the additional 20000 visas if you have a Master's degree or higher from a US institution, the earliest your employer can file for a H-1B on your behalf for the next fiscal year will be April 1, 2005.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I may be of further assistance to you in this matter.
