What is the name of your state? Florida
I have only been handicap over a year. And in that time I really have had an eye opener as to how unfair this world is to handicap people. My question goes along with that realization. I recently decided to treat myself and daughter to an up coming country concert at our city Arena. The concert is still a couple of months off but the tickets went on sell and was going to buy then earily so we could get good seats. Well I soon found out that "good seats" are only for people who are not handicap. ALthough I have to pay the same as people without a handicap, I am not offered any better seating by buying the tickets earily. The handicap seating are at the top of each section and each section starts at row "A" and goes up from their to row "Y" The seating for handicap and people with mobilty issues start at row "W" Yes, they have elevators to get up there but the elevators are not just for handicap use. So I find it very unsafe to have hadicap people or even people with mobility issues up where the only means of getting out in an emergency is to use the elevator. What if there is a fire? The only other means down is the escalator or stairs. Both of which handicap people could not transferse.
SO my question is: is there any thing I can do to change both of these issues. The good seating for others and the fact of it being a safety issue?
