What is the name of your state? GA

I called my girlfriends ex-boyfriend through the internet hundreds of times. The cops called me and I confessed because two weeks prior they told my girlfriend that if they found out who did it then they would just have to give an apology and pay like $100 to pay for researching phone records. I got arrested under the charge of harrassing phone calls. When I did it I considered it a prank but now I understand I could face a maximum fine of $3500 and a year in prison. I feel kind of screwed because what I did was not a big deal in my eyes and I was very honest and easy to deal with. If I didnt confess I probably could of got away with it because my phone number only showed up on the call records one time because I called through the internet using a website. This is my first offense and I was wondering if I have any options in getting the case dropped or if I can get a very low punihsment/fine because my real life is already strenuous enough. What likely punishment can I expect? Is it possible to plead no lo? Should I just go in and plead guilty and hope for the best? It kills me knowing I will have a criminal record now.

I'm curious why you were calling your girlfriends ex. Anyway, begging the judge for leniency may help. Begging the ex to drop the charges may help more. Of course, that won't help if the content(threats) is the problem rather than the number of calls. I hope your maturity level has upped a notch or two. BTW, thanks for the URL to covert call. It should help in my research for repos ;) . You should have gained quite a bit for referrals. Good luck.
