What is the name of your state? IN

Is there legal repercussion(s) for someone who when angry files a harassment complaint against another person and then later when not angry anymore makes several friendly contacts to the "harasser"?

you are going to have to be a little more specific.

Okay someone got angry and they filed a harrassment complaint.

What happened? Was a restraining order issued? What does it say? Were both parties included? What kind of contact is being made? Does the other person object to the contact? Has the restraining order either been vacated or expired?

This is between a boyfriend and a girlfriend and the first incident she called the police but no papers were issued. They broke up and got back together and started dating again and call each other and see each other, then the second incident was recent and this time papers were issued "not to harass, call, directly or indirectly...etc..." and I have the feeling it won't be long before she wants to make up again. If I were the boyfriend I would be long gone.:)

yeah, well, I would have been gone before the first time, but oh well.

You did not answer all of the questions. Does the order cover both parties, is it still in effect.

by the way, who are you in this situation?

No. The order does not cover both parties and she could do this until the cows come home or until the guy wises up. I have a feeling that this is not a unique situation.
