I work for an Irish company in the United States-Atlanta, GA. They bring over many of their relatives, to work in the US and have the company sponsor them, I work in the payroll department and one immigrant I believe was sent over on and HBI-visa to work as an internal auditor. She did not want that job, but it was the only opening. She transferred immediately within 5 months to an AVP of Treasury position, with no experience. The CFO-Irish also, told me not to change her title with ADP-payroll, because it would not conincide with her Visa. As far as I know, they have not reported her change, She married while over here to another Irish immigrant who recently became a citizen (July). Is this legal, and is there any thing I could do. I think it is unfair to pass up americans in the company or the US that are qualified, simply because she wants to job hop. And her visa specifically stated her assignment, not to mention, she is now a wife of a major executive.

The fact that she married means she is in the clear to work where she wants. The fraud is with the company. All you can do is write to the INS.. but it will mean you could get fired from the company if it ever came back to bite you..
