I was recently fired from my job. My question, How long does my employer have to provide me with COBRA insurance information, before he is in violation of the law?

If you need the insurance ask for it in a hurry. Trying to catch the employer on a technicality is usually stupid and someday you'll need a reference that won't be made better by being a thorn in their side.
