What is the name of your state?Ohio
Since long letters with lots of questions don't get responses........What about these letters and cards I'm getting, offering to buy my house, any price, any condition, all done in cash? Sounds good and could even get $10,000 to help me with a new start.
Am I allowed to sell my house in the interim between filing chapter 7 and it being approved, and then the foreclosure sale is reset, providing I cover any leins?
Thanks,
Deb

Yes.. I got a bunch of those 'offers' when my house went into forclosure too. They all sounded just a little too good to be true.. so I tossed them all. Ya gotta ask.. why do they work only in cash ? Where's that 10K they're going to 'give' you coming from ? Are you going to have to pay it back.. and start out with a NEW debt for 10K (or more) ?? I'd steer clear of these 'offers', I wouldn't trust them.. if it sounds too good to be true.. it usually IS !

IF you can sell the house, the Trustee would be interested in any profits to take to pay your creditors.. well.. there goes that 10K they will 'give' you, the Trustee would definitely have his/her hand out for that !!
