My son, 22 years old, drug offence, is in perison. He only had 25 days to finish his time after 1 year...He was really excitted and couldn't wait to start a new beginning. He told me I would never want to come back here again and I got my lesson,this is a snake hole I don't belong in here. Last week they found out that someone in his section making Alcohol and some who were in the area going to have a hearing about this. My son is one of them. He is going crazy saying I will tell them who was it and I don't care if I may have problem with inmates, I wont stay here not even one more day for others wrong doing.He has ADHD and has no nerves left and extremly upset.
They may give him one more extra month and I think he is playing with fire by opening his mouth. What do you think he should do?

The people that post to this site are VOLUNTEERS. You posted during a workday while the VOLUNTEERS are working. If you require an immediate answer you should PAY an attorney.

And BTW: Not everyone that "looks" at a post knows the answer...This site frowns on members answering a question unless is it legally relevant.

Truthfully if he knows and doesn't say anything he becomes an accomplice. Hence he has committed another crime and can extend his time greatly. It comes down to whether or not he wants to be an honest, law abiding citizen OR he wants to protect a bunch of criminals.

Thank you for responding Ohiogal but what you say I and most already know.
But in real world out there specially the true prison life style is way different than out here, I almost know this due to talk to my son every single day for past 11 months, sometimes twice a day. No doubt I love him more than my x. Causing trouble for other inmates may end up some where that there in no way return. I prefer He stay for one more month rather than to not see him ever again.What do you think? I say you a parent,,,what would you do?
And for Blue Meanie..Speaking of relevant...Please, I already know how much some enjoy to come here and be funny about others problems...But if you don't have some opinion about how my kid should make his decision,please do not respond at all...thank you!...I am too much worried to waste my time to read irrelevants.

I care when I see someone care to help and I respect those who respect.I respect people who come here to help others to ease a problem. This is not a joke, I am a mother and my child is in trouble for something he didn't do. Should I wish for you to be in my place? of course not. So please give opinion to my post if you have any and leave your charm and humor and instant massage to each others some where else!...again thank you for your time and please respect my time.My second post was not a sarcasim..just me being worried and waiting to see if anyone has something to say.

If he is in a California state prison for a drug offense, it is either the latest in a string of drug convictions, it was for a serious sales case, or he pled down to possession from some far more serious offenses. So others are not misled, possession of hard drugs in CA results in treatment (by law), not prison.

It's up to him. If he drops a dime on whomever did it, he's going to have to be in administrative segregation because he'll have a jacket as a snitch. That will likely mean a 23 hour lockdown each day, and solo visits to a special yard.

If he says nothing, and eats an additional month of time, he should remain safe.

I'm not going to say what he SHOULD do, but he has to weigh his options carefully.

He is in prison due to 3 times violation of probation in one year, possesion of lil amount of drug each times but Judge got tired of him not staying in rehab for twice.Judge told him this time I will send you some where you stay and I hope you will get your lesson then he pointed me saying we all got tired of you specially your mother supporting you all this time and wished us luck.He only has 20 days left and yes he told me exactly what you said about him going to single to be protected and that scares me.They can find him ,I think, even when he get back home. I am trying to convince him stay quite. So what I was thinking was a right thing to do. I hope he listen. Thank you again very much ,Carl.

Is he in JAIL or PRISON? There is a difference.

They can find him ,I think, even when he get back home. I am trying to convince him stay quite. So what I was thinking was a right thing to do. I hope he listen. Thank you again very much ,Carl.

He has to make the right decision for him. If he snitches, and he is state prison, the rest of his time there could be dangerous. if he stays quiet, he draws an extra month. It's really a balancing act.

Hopefully he stays clean when he gets out.
