Our friend are having a baby and want to give it to us because they have 4 small children and can not care for a new baby. They don't want to bring it home period once it is born. What do we do?

You need, both you and the birth parents, to follow the laws in your State for a LEGAL Adoption. I would STRONGLY advise an attorney.

since you didn't include the state(s) involved, no one can really answer your question beyond speaking with a local attorney.

But.... Do your friends know how babies happen?

If you are ready to take all responsibility of the new born, then you can directly bring baby to your home.

Really? Please post the adoption law that would prove the ^ statement. I, personally, can think of a bunch of reasons that what you posted is ill-advised.
