My response:

Indeed, Monogram appears to have some problems. Since Monogram has failed seems to have failed to investigate and / or correct your problem within a reasonable time, and therefore, it seems you'll have a good lawsuit against Monogram for violations of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), 15 U.S.C. sec. 1601 et seq.

Do not sue Home Depot, as they are not a "lender" under the definitions in the Act. Your problem is strictly with Monogram.

You would be entitled to a reversal of the charge amount, plus double the interest being charged, in the sum of no less than $100.00, and no more than $1,000.00. You would also be entitled to reasonable attorney's fees if you win.

Good luck to you.

I WOULD ALSO CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU , OR A SIMILAR ENTITY, IN YOUR AREA. IN AT LEAST TO MAKE NOISE, AND HELP SOMEONE ELSE FROM BECOMING A VICTIM TO THEIR BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES...
