Hello everyone, I'm new to the board, so excuse me please.
I reside in Pennsylvania & have a question regarding sibling related law in PA.
I was unsure of where else I would post.

This is concerning myself & my younger sibling, both of us over 18 years.

What I want to know is that after a life of mental, emotional, verbal & physical abuse & harassment, is there any legal way to obsolve all relations to each other.
I have thought long & hard & this is something I feel strongly about.
I want us wiped away from each other permanently.

I want this done legally because I have 2 small children who she at all costs is attempting to steal from me.
I am afraid that at some point she may do something drastic to myself & my husband that leaves our children parentless in an attempt to gain them as her own.
She has many many problems, I gave many many chances.
For the sake of my own family, I must make sure she in no way shape or form is family to me.

Thank you,
Maelyssa

My response:

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as "sibling Divorce". If she presents a real danger to you and / or your family members, you might qualify for a Restraining Order or Order of Protection.

Also, how about moving away? I know that works for most people.

Aside from a restraining order to protect yourself and your family, what about appointing someone else legal guardian in the event of your (and your husband's) death? Then she would not gain the children even if something were to happen to you.

Thanks

Thanks guys for the input.

We are seriously considering moving far away but as of now, the job/financial situation is not at all cooperating w/us.

I will apply for restraining order and all as soon as we get settled away from here.

I just figured that if there are legal ways to make someone your family there should be some loophole somewhere which could do the reverse.
I thought it would be simpler than doing all of what I would need to make sure my kids, assets, life, etc is safe from her if anything should happen to me & my husband.

It's to the point I am suffering from lack of sleep due to nightmares & stress from the problems caused here.

We are currently dissolving a business partnership between us in which she now refuses to pay employees her due to them and all additional fees to close things off which is creating a huge finincial burden on me.

Thanks for the input, I've got to jet!!!
