Help Wanted: Exposing a DEADBEAT DAD via Wanted Poster Mailing. Legal or libel?

I apologize in advance for the previous post in all caps. I work in all caps and I just get used to seeing caps. I am sorry for having offended anyone on the forum. I would like to warn you in advance that part of this post is still in caps for expressive purposes.

After several years of attempting to have a DEADBEAT DAD served for child support in N.C. we are possibly going to attempt to send "WANTED POSTERS" OR a "DEADBEAT DAD NEWSLETTER" to every church, business, and government official in the area of which the DEADBEAT DAD resides.

Now this next part I do want in caps. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS MAN HAS 2 CHILDREN, HAS NEVER PAID A CENT IN CHILD SUPPORT, IS LISTED ON THE DEED OF A BUSINESS WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND, IS LISTED WITH THE BUSINESS NAME ON SEVERAL WEBSITES, HAS MANAGED TO GET A NOTARY PUBLIC, IS ALSO A LOAN COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON, MEMBER, AND TREASURER OF HIS LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, HAS NOT FILED TAXES FOR INCOME BECAUSE HE IS PAID UNDER-THE-TABLE BY HIS GIRLFRIEND, HAS DONATED MONEY UNDER HIS NAME IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BUSINESS NAME, SNEAKS A VISIT TO SEE HIS KIDS WHEN THEY ARE VISITING HIS MOTHER, AND HAS EVADED HIS LOCAL SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR TO BE SERVED. HE WILL NOW HAVE A SECOND BENCH WARRANT FOR HIS ARREST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There, I feel better now. Thank you for allowing me to vent and express my opinion thanks to the Freedom Of Speech

This is what we want to do. We want to issue a wanted poster of sorts that states the facts. We want to send this poster or newsletter as stated above. The population is only a couple of thousand people and it is a small town where everyone knows each other, especially if you own a business on Main Street. Is this libel? If we are just stating the facts that are available through public records and the facts of the child support case itself is this legal? I see personal websites created by other parents/family members of the children on the internet all of the time. Is that legal as well?

ANY advice would be greatly appreciated. HE OWES BACK CHILD SUPPORT OF ABOUT 45,000 AND RISING. OUR FAMILY AND THE CHILDREN HAVE SUFFERED BOTH FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW.

Facts are facts and public record is public record, if you let the public record speak for it's self you may be ok, facts may be disputed, so while he may owe $X in child support, or 2 bench warrants, it is better to produce or have available the actual documents, other things you cite are less easy to document. Have you reported his income to the IRS?

We are trying every legal way possible!

Yes, I have already turned him in to the IRS. We just found out that he is being audited by the IRS. Hopefully this will help us get him.

We don't have all of the money in the world. We, as a family, have helped the mother and the 2 children involved for years now. She was left with a high debt as well and was forced to file bankruptcy. The grandparents are being sucked dry financially as well as emotionally.

I am trying to get this DEADBEAT DAD to climb out from under his rock or at least get the rock turned over to expose him. I am trying to do this legally. We are going through "the system" and it is an every day battle. That is what brought me to this site. The system actually told us that we "were finding too much information out and that we should lay low and not get involved." Straight from the case worker's mouth!

Yes, the facts are facts and I do have documentation of EVERYTHING that I stated in the original post. Should I just send a copy of EVERYTHING to EVERYONE ON MY LIST? The town and some of it's people are protecting him and that is making it even harder for us to track him down.

I know exactly how you feel, I am in the same situation you are in. I posted my ex on a deadbeat site, it is legal if all the information you have is true and you can back it up - and it is part of public record. Anyone can file a suit agaist you for anything so if you do this expect him do file a suit against you, but if you can prove what you are saying you wont have to worry about it, but you will have to defend yourself and that will be costly. I kow how frustrating it is. I see my ex driving around town in his luxury vehicles, spending wads of cash while avoiding his kids and not paying a dime towards them, it makes me sick, but I know I have them and he doesn't and that's all I need. Is it fair? No! But they are better off safe with me, then spending one minute with him and his sick twisted mind. Good luck and be careful.

Also i remember tv stations running names and pictures of same.
