Help with disruptive teen

I'm trying to find out my rights regarding a disruptive or abusive teen. My duaghter will not abide by any rules of our home and is extremely disruptive. It is ruining my marriage.
She will be 18 in 9 months. It is to the point where one of us has to move. We've been through counceling and nothing has helped. She refuses to listen to anyone and is constently in trouble with either the law or other people. We live in Oregon and I've tried to find laws regarding this situation and have come up with nothing. Please help.

My response:

There's really only one effective way of dealing with such a situation. I've said the following on a few occassions in the past, and it may be helpful to you.

Tell your daughter that you and she are going on a mother-daughter vacation to attempt to strengthen your bonds. You buy two tickets to Bolivia in South America. Your ticket is a round trip flight. Hers is one way.

When you get there, and you've checked into your hotel room, you tell your daughter that you're going to get a magazine at the gift shop. You then go to the counter with an envelope with $200.00, with directions to the counter person to deliver the envelope to your daughter's room. You include a note that says, "You're on your own, kid. Have a good life."

You then leave the hotel and get to the airport.

Derrian is also a male name. I am the father. I wish your last reply was that simple. Her mother does not believe in disipline. That is one of the reasons this has gone on so long.

My response:

Does it matter that you're a male and not a female in terms of my response ?

My suggestion is just "that simple". Take them both - - a husband, daughter, mother Retreat. Do the same thing and dump them both there.

Either that, or file for divorce.
