What is the name of your state?WYoming

Ok. I waas staying in a motel, and the room caught on fire and burned up all my belongings. The fire marshall said it was accidental, which it was. Shouldn't thier insurance cover my things?

I asked the motel manager and she said she doubted it. So I asked who her carrier was and she said she didn't know. Is there a way that I can find out who thier carrier is?

Just because the fire was "accidental" does not completely absolve the motel operator from all liability. They may owe you the value of your belongings, subject to any limitations in the state's law for innkeeper liability.

And your homeowners insuarnce also might cover the loss.

In agreement with ALawyer; don't ease up on the innkeeper.

However, under your HO coverage, your personal property is covered "anywhere in the world" up to either; 10 or 25% of your Coverage A. Limitations.
