What is the name of your state? Ohio

My alumni High School recently won the State football championship and I have designed several bumper stickers to commemorate the accomplishment. My question is, what permission/authorization, if any, do I need to obtain from the school to be able to sell these once I decide to have them made?
Do high schools normally ask for a portion of the profits (I'm not looking to make a big profit, just enough to cover expenses)?
I am not a business owner, I am just an individual who is proud of the teams accomplishment, does this affect the legality of selling the stickers?
Thank you for any information regarding this.

If the bumper stickers have the school mascot then ask the principal for permission (written). If only the name of the school is on the stickers, then you have no problem using it.

Thank you Belize, for the quick response.
A follow-up question; does that mean the official mascot image? What I mean is, the schools mascot is the polar bear, they have an image of a bear that they use, but if don't use THAT image, and use a public domain image of a polar bear that has no resemblence to the schools version, or use say a paw print instead, would those still need the principals permission?

Thanks again,
Kevin

If any image is associated with the school and could cause confusion then yes. But you also might need the school board's permission.
