As a nurse, I stated where I worked on myspace.com on a setting that is not private. As it stated where I worked on one of the days I put that one of my patients died that day. So it was dated as to when a patient died on that floor. My employer is telling me this is a HIPAA Violation? I don't believe what I wrote on myspace is patient identifiable information? I am looking at termination now because of it. Any thoughts?
