hired with dui then laid off 1/year later

I was hired by a company as a truck
driver in March of 1998. They were aware
that i had a dui 1996. In april of 1999
i was laid off because, they had changed
insurance companies. Did i have any
chance of contesting this action, if so
what can i do?

You probably have no rights unless there is a union or you have a contract -- oral or in writing.
