I'm renting a condo in West Palm Beach, Florida and was presented with a letter from the condo association addressing a "Garnishment of Rent". Turns out the owner of the unit is in arrears on HOA fees and the association is now advising renters to pay their monthly rent to the management office until the unit owner is up to date with the dues.

I obtained a Certificate of Amendment to the Declaration of Grand Isles Condominium Association. I'm being told by the association that if rent isn't paid to the management office that they can evict me. I'm also being told by the landlord that if rent isn't paid by him that he can evict me. So I'm not clear on what laws protect me and who I'm to pay rent to. I'm in a lease and have paid my rent on time, but don't know who to pay next month's rent to. I'm in a disgusting situation and am running around in circles with this matter.
