My son will be 12 in July. We live in Connecticut. My son comes home after school at 3:15 and stays home alone till around 5:00pm. Is there a law on how old he could be t be home alone. I know that I am responsible for him till 18 but can anything happen having him home alone??????

I don't have the time right now to respond thoroughly to this question again, so if you have a chance; do a search for posts regarding "home alone" and you will find a lot of responses.

My son was 9 when he stayed home alone as your child is doing now, he is now 11 and stays home at times all day. (when there are days with no school)
