What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

The mortgage company advised me that they re-keyed my home after I vacated. I am still the owner of record until the foreclosure sale takes place. In the unlikely event something happens inside the home such as a burst pipe, etc., am I liable if I cannot physically enter the home due to the fact that it has been re-keyed?

It's one thing if something happens while I still can get into the house with my key, but if they re-key it, as they're allowed to do, then I cannot get into the house to address any possible catastrophe.

It's still your house...

ETA: I suspect the problem here is that you haven't communicated information very well to us about your situation.

Situation is no different than most others these days, except for the fact that I vacated based on statements made by the lender that the NOD would be filed in a certain number of days. That turned out to be a lie. But in any case, until the foreclosure sale takes place, I am the owner. How can I be the owner, if they have taken possession of and secured the home by changing the locks?
