What is the name of your state? Michigan
I have been renting a home in Michigan for 2 years now. The landlord now wants to sell the home, so my husband and I were pre-approved for the amount he originally told us a month ago. He was supposed to meet us and sign a purchase agreement, which has not done yet. He has just contacted me and told me that he had people coming out to look at my home this Friday. I explained to him that we are pre-approved and are waiting for him to sign the purchase agreement. I asked him if the price he and his wife gave us was still the selling price, and he said yes. He then said, I just want someone else to look at it. I explained to him that since I just had a baby, I don't feel comfortable with people coming over and looking through my house. He said, well you don't have to be there. I explained once again to him that I have a newborn, and I have to be here - I am breastfeeding all the time. I also stated that we are interested in buying for the selling price he gave us, and we are pre-approved, just waiting for him to sign the purchase agreement. Can he legally just decide not to sell to us because he wants to sell to someone he knows or likes, and bring these people in my home whenever he wants???? I mean, we are financially able to buy the home for the price - just need him to sign the purchase agreement.
