What is the name of your state? California
I live town house in Hacienda Heights, in California which I lived there for
almost 3 years now and it's been all disappointment as Home Owners
Association fee has been up 50% over the 2 year period.
It's really big town house with almost 300 units.
Due to heavy rains in February 2005, around 6 hownhouse sustained
landslide and according to HOA said, each homeowner will be potentially
responsible to pay to rebuild portions of the slopes and homes damaged.
And according to HOA, the insurance is not covered in this situation.
HOA is estimating each home owners to pay several thousand dollars.
I want to find out, if HOA can do this to each town home owners,
and If we decline to abide HOA's proposal, what happens.
Also, I want to find out what we (town home owner) should do?
Regards,
Mike
