Hotel Guest Criminal Background Checks

Is it legal for a hotel to use the information you provide at check in to do a criminal background check without your knowledge?

It depends on where they did the check, but, probably. The cool thing is when they check out the DNA left on the sign in registration. That's legal too, by today's laws.
