You've been hearing some fairytales for sure, probably from people who have never filed or people who don't WANT you to file.

INSURANCE PREMIUMS GO UP
,
Possible, home owners and car insurance could go up, but I wouldn't say it happens for ALL filers.

UTILITY COMPANYS MIGHT GIVE YOU A HARD TIME
Not unless you include a debt in your BK owed to a utility company ! In that case what most utilities will do is close the account you filed on and open a new account for you - and they MAY require a deposit to do it. If you change utility companies, say you moved, you could be asked to pay a higher deposit for electric and phone. Hardly what I'd call a 'hard time' - they have to protect themselves.
TRUSTEE WATCHES YOUR BANK ACCOUNT
This one's pure crap. The Trustee's have more than enough to do than to monitor the bank accounts of every filer. They have neither the time, staff, or money for such a thing.

ALMOST LIKE YOUR NO LONGER ANY WORTH TO THE SYSTEM

That's going a bit far. BK is not without its repercussions and you have to accept that when/if you decide to file.
