What is the name of your state? Oklahoma
I have been divorced for about 5 years, my ex is saying that because of back surgery, he is now making less money therefore wants to lower his child support. If I felt like this is true I wouldn't have a problem with it. The problem is.... he is (was)part owner (family owned business) that is quite large. But I have also heard a rumer that he sold his part of the business and is only an employee now. I suspect that he is hiding income. He is wanting to do this stuff with out attorneys, I would like to know if I can request fiancial information and what info I should ask for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. FYI I also found out that him and his wife just took her ex to court for more child support.

My response:

Don't be dumb. Get an attorney. Have him place all of his assets and debts on paper, under oath. Then, pay for an asset search. If he owns assets not listed, then you can get him for perjury.

Ok let's start with the most obvious, what his wife gets from HER ex does not affect what you can get from him. That's not the way it works dear. His wife could have the best lawyer in the world and get 5000 a month in cs and that will NOT affect your amount. But without a lawyer to request to the judge he provide the financial records you need chances of getting them are slim. He doesn't HAVE to give you anything without a court order, just like you don't have to give him anything. Best to get a lawyer.
