Any settlement you've been offered is being driven by (a) any impairment rating the doctors involved have recommended, and (b) a formula determined by your State's WC regulations. The dollar amount is not just some number the WC carrier picked out of the air although some negotiation on the figure is sometimes possible. It depends on the particulars of the claim.

Whether that's the appropriate amount is obviously not something anyone here can tell you. If you don't trust your attorney's advice, then you should get a second opionion on your WC claim from another attorney.

You haven't reached MMI and your attorney wants to settle? What a bunch of crap and so is your lawyer!

If you have not reached MMI, then a settlement at this juncture is premature. I doubt seriously if a judge would approve a settlement in which the injured party has not reached MMI. Sounds like you need to contact another attorney.
