How do I request a trial so I can subpoena witnesses?

I am in the middle of a series of modifications and contempts which will all be heard in the next few months.

I am pro se, and not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination, nor do I play one on TV. My problem is, my SO continually goes to Dr's and lies to them. Instead of going in front of the Judge when she will just hear the arguments on the motion, how do I request a trial so that I can subpoena these Dr's.

(e.g. SO told Dr that she has court approval to administer medication to minor children. Which she does not.)

If you can't figure out the basics, you really need to get an attorney. You're being railroaded.

What is your legal grounds for wanting a trial? Lying to a doctor is not a legal ground in and of itself.
