Please help clarify --

How do the California System 2 exemptions work?

Can the $18,675 homestead/ real/ personal property/
wildcard exemption be used along with other specific
exemptions to make an aggregate total of more than
$18,675 exempt?

Yes, or no? My understanding is YES, is that right?

Can I take, for example, up to $18,675 with
C.C.P. § 703.140(b)(5)

and also, $450 with 703.140(b)(3)

and also, tools of trade to $1,875 with
703.140(b)(6)

Jewelry to $1,225 703.140(b)(4)

Motor vehicle to $2,975 703.140(b)(2)

I've read elsewhere that if you use the $18,675, then that
is all you can use, not any other allowances... but that seems wrong!
