If a CRA does not validate in 30 days, are they violating anything?

CRA's are NOT required to validate anything.

Now, they DO have 30 days to VERIFY any dispute and they can extend that by an additional 15 days, but they have to notify you of the extension. If they cannot verify with the furnisher in that time, then the disputed tradeline must be removed.
