My 13 year old son detassled corn this year with a local company. This is his first year doing this so I'm not sure how this works. He only worked a total of 6 days. On July 19th he got a check for working July 7th and 8th which was only like 15 hours. He worked 4 days the next week, the last day being July 15th. Today is Aug. 2nd and he's still not received his check for the 4 days of that week. My husband called them today and they said they were mailing the check today. Now, if we get it in the next few days it's not a problem but I worry about a 'the check is in the mail' thing. How long are they allowed to not send the check?
