say someone makes 55,000/year what is the standard they should be paying for child support if it really varies i am just looking for somewhat a ballpark figure

also if the parents have already been to court and an unfair settlement was made is it an option to take the case back to court and get what the child support should be

First: You MUST give a state name to get valid help.

Second: We really enjoy punctuation. I see that you do not.

Third: It's easy to google an online calculator for your state. Do so.

actually that is easy. They should be paying whatever the court order SAYS they should be paying.

ok i looked up the cost but i still need to know if there is an option to take the case back to court if there has already been a settlement made but one that is no where near what it should be

Are you the CP complaining that you're not getting enough? Or the NCP complaining you're paying too much?

if there was an agreement- as in settlement- as in the court didn't decide the issue for you- then I don't believe you can take it back

basically one party went in without the lawyer and got screwed .. the person making 55k/year ended up paying $300/month, the child support calculators i looked at say it should be close to $1000/month

So. . . . petition for a modification.

And if you don't know the law. get an attorney.

and if you do know the law, and can afford one, get an attorney.

and if you can't.

get an attorney.
