I'm very unhappy with the advice my attorney has given me. I was involved in a head-on collision that was the total fault of the other driver. I hired the attorney because I could get no response from the other driver's insurance company. The property damage claim was finally settled after almost three months. It's been almost four months since I've been released by my doctors for my injuries. My attorney advised me that we should file suit to "get more money." Unfortunately, filing the suit did not have the results that he told me he thought we would get and this is now dragging on to include interrogatories and, perhaps, depositions. This is just eating away at any settlement I may have received and I'm very frustrated about the whole situation. What can I do or say to him to get this situation resolved?

If you are not contented with what your lawyer had told you then don’t settle with him anymore try to find another that will meet your needs and standard. After all, you’ll be paying for his services so you have the right to demand or to replace him if you’re not satisfied.

Keep in mind that you need to have a good working relationship with your lawyer to be able to win a claim or just to have a good outcome for your legal businesses

I completely agree about having a good relationship--that's why I asked for advice on how to voice my complaints in a positive way (if that's possible). Since we're working on a contingent fee, I didn't think I was able to drop him and find another attorney. I don't think he's deliberately trying to screw things up, but so many things he's "promised," just don't work out that way and it's costing ME money!
