What is the name of your state?Arkansas

My,sister is 14 her boyfriend is 17 they have a 5mon baby girl. The boys mom draws $800.00 a month on him for SSI.So how would we go about getting child support for the baby. As of wright now my mother is supporting the
baby. With very little help from the boys mother.

The DHS office said their is no way we can collect child support from the minnor boy if he draws a check. Is this true?

Your mom will most likely have to foot the bill for a lawyer. She can try legal aid and see if she qualifies. Until paternity is established via DNA, there is no way to make him help support the child.
After paternity is established they can put in an order for child support. It will be very low, I'm sure. Does he have a job? Your sister needs to be working part time and stay in school.

It also looks like he might be prosecuted for statutory rape. The age differential is 3 years for a victim under 14. How old was she at the time of pregnancy?
