how to remove a judgement lien

hello, i need help. i have filed for bk 4 four years ago. i am now refinancing and there's a judgement lien on my credit report that title wants to pay when closing my escrow. title now is saying that since this was discharged on my bk, i could file a motion to vacate, so i don't have to pay this debt. if i hire a paralegal to do this, how long does this take? i want to close my escrow as soon as possible. thanks.

Not sure about California's rules regarding practicing law, but in Indiana that paralegal would be practicing law and in violation of the rules.

Write a dispute letter to the Credit Bureau(s) explaining the situation. Include the Schedule from your bankruptcy paperwork that shows the lein that created the judgement was discharged. Provide both to your Loan Officer and tell him you want to do a Rapid Rescore with the Credit Bureau(s) reporting the judgement. It'll cost approximately $35.00 per bureau and take approximately 3-5 days for the correction to show up on your credit report.
