3 years ago in november my husband was charged with a hit & run. the witnesses got his license plate and the police came to our house. they gave him a test and he blew a 2.0
this was at least 2 hours after the accident. he behaved himself for several months, until we went thru the court process. we had a very good attorney who got it reduced to a moving violation and the hit and run was thrown out. my problem is that he is back to his drinking and driving. he comes in from work at 8-9am and stays at the bar til he cant see,,,he calls off work and then drives home in this condition. i am wondering what i can do to protect my self and my children. i need his insurance because i have ms and my kids need this school system because of their adhd problems. i dont want to divorce him but i dont know of any other alternative. when he gets caught again we could lose everything. he knows what he is doing and continues to do it. what can i do to protect ourselves from his irresponsibility? we live in ohio

I felt sorry when I read your post and express my concerns too.

Your husband needs help. He has a severe problem. Have you spoken with your clergy person? His family? A physician (re an involuntary committment to an alcohol treatment program). Considered an "intervention"?
