I recently signed over my rights to my newborn to a lady who can not have kids. before I signed my rights over I was promised by the law office that a paper would be drawen up on special conditions that I wanted in the adoption. that paper has not been drawen up and I withdrew my consent now the law office is given me a hard time as far as locking the door and shutting lights off with clients inside when I go up there. when I call im told im not going threw this with you. the lady still has my baby and there is no papers in the courts where this adoption has been filed. so no judges can get involed on issue that aint even in the courts , the cops wont go with me to get my child with out the judges signature. her Medicaid and birth cert is all in my name. what can I do to get my child back?

Exactly what were these "special conditions" that you insisted on in the adoption? And why did you not wait to sign the adoption papers until you had something IN WRITING that documented what these conditions would be and that they would be included for the adoption?

Bottom line, if it ain't in writing, legally, it never happened. You should NEVER have signed before getting all of your conditions met in the documents for the adoption. After you signed, it really was too late.

Sure, you could withdraw your approval, and appear in court for the final adoption hearing. You could complain to the judge that the attorney was unfair and didn't listen to you. Would it do any good? Maybe, and maybe not. Would it stop the adoption? Perhaps - or maybe just delay the inevitable.

This seems incredibly confusing. So, you signed over rights but you didnt sign over rights? Someone who has no legal custody over your child has custody of your child and the police won't go get the child? There is something missing here. The person who has the child would have to have some type of custody paper in order to legally leave with your baby...weird.
