And to expand just a little, NJ has become one of the most relocation-friendly states in the entire nation.
No longer does the moving parent have to prove X, Y & Z - it's now the non-moving parent who must prove that not only is it affecting parenting time, but that the alteration of parenting time creates a hardship for the children. In other words, it's not enough to prove that the relocation will substantially interfere with the other parent's time.
Not entirely sure how I personally feel about that, but a) it's not my state and b) I got no dog in the fight anyway.

Based SOLELY on what was posted, the answer is: Of COURSE *YOU* can move anywhere you would like. But if you plan to bring your chil(ren), you will need permission from their other parent and/or the court.

See, I can understand someone being cranky with me.

To sum it all up sweety.... I don't ask those Questions for my self only... People ask me to help them since they don't have access to internet or have translation problems...
I'm not a legal aid in anyway... so I try to at-least do what I can... once I get some answers I relay the messages to people requesting them...

On the post from June 2013, neither Quincy or Proserpina went off topic! They were trying to help. If they asked questions, it was because the answers could have affected their advice.
Get over yourself.
If you are posting 3rd party then you probably don't have all of the facts or information needed, so you should just stop. Good advice cannot be given unless all the information is provided and all the facts are known.
FOR EXAMPLE: What does the custody paperwork say about moving, if anything?
Was the custody paperwork filed in New Jersey courts, or some other state? Because that can make a difference.
Is the other parent actively involved in the children's lives?
