What is the name of your state? Pa.
I never had a problem like this. I have a house thats not selling. I can see forcloser in the future. What can I do to get this to go away. I'm out of money. I can pay for the following, My current house, all credit cards, A current home equity loan and all utilities and insurance for current home and autos. This 2nd house is just running me into the ground.
My wife runs her own hair salon and is not having any problems with covering her bills. If I declare bankruptcy can I just file for items I am having problems with? Will it affect any of my wifes business accounts? Does anybody have any advice or can anyone offer any help?

I feel your pain.. been there done that with the house that won't sell.. I lost mine that way after I moved here.

If you file for bankrutpcy, you can do it without your wife. She would be affected only on any debts that are joint. You can let the non-selling house go and be free of it.

How is your current home deeded ??
Do you have equity ?
How much disposable income do you have w/o the 2nd house ?? You may be forced into a CH 13.

Have you considered offering the bank a deed in lieu of forclosure ??

In PA you are allowed to use Federal Exemptions so make sure you read those too. Consult with a BK attorney or 2 so you know what you would be facing.
