What is the name of your state?Michigan.
I am trying to find out what I need to do to upgrade my discharge. I recieved a General ( Under Honorable Conditions) discharge. I was wondering how feasible it is to actually get this bumped to an Honorable Discharge. The only information I have recieved so far is to obtain my service records, DD-293, or talk to a congress person.

DD 293 and directions

the form DD 293 includes instructions and suggestions for organizations that might provide counseling/advice. The URL is:

http://arba.army.pentagon.mil/documents/dd0293.pdf

Other than appeal to the Board of Corrections (which is what this form is for), you could try and get a special act of congress. Figure those odds!
Each case varies greatly with the circumstances, my advice is to hook up with a counselor. From what I've heard, corrections are not common and "I've been good since discharge" is not a solid rationale.

if your not barred from re inlistment, then sign up again... and after your contract is over,,, provided you dont get kicked out again,,, you will have an honorable discharge

Discharge review board is about the only option. What were the grounds of receiving that characterization? E.g. why the general under honorable?
