:eek:What is the name of your state? MA

I purchased a used car just three months ago. I brought it back after the first month because the bumper had a seal leak and water was leaking into the trunk, turning everything to mold, and smelling up the car. They said they fixed it and detailed the inside to get rid of the smell.

Smell still there, leak still there, we just had 3 inches of rain and I have 1 inch in my wheelwell.

The car is still under warranty, with the Nissan.

My thing is, even when they fix the leak in the bumper, they will never be able to get that musty/moldy smell out of my car. Trust me I LOVE my car and the 34 mpg it is getting, but I can't have my kids riding in a "funk mobile". It is unhealthy.

What are my rights? What would a lawyer charge if I went the route of the lemon law.

Thank you in advance.

Do see a lawyer but your issue does not come close to being a lemon law problem. Perhaps a strongly worded letter from an attorney will get the results you want.

I might be wrong, and usually I am, but don't they have three tries to fix the problem? I do not think they are not going to be able to get rid of a musty/moldy smell...it is in the whole interior of the car...

The Massachusetts lemon law only applies to the safety or usability issues that make the vehicle inoperative or affects the drivability of the vehicle, a stinky interior would not apply.
