This happened a lot in Ks. When I lived in Eureka, a friend of mine, who was 13 or so, got pg by her 22 y/o b/f. Her mom let them marry and to my knowledge, he never got into trouble. At the time, being an impressionable young person, I thought it was cool. I realize now how awful it must have been for her.

We moved not too long afterwards. I have no idea if their marriage lasted. I would make the assumption that it didn't.

Ks is definitely still in the Middle Ages about this issue.

It's just scary that the mother allowed it. I would hope that the state takes and runs with it and the pervert ends up where he belongs.

Good Morning America did a story on this, which I didn't see, but I did read an article about it, and here's what amazed me:

Residents of Falls City have sent hundreds of letters and gifts in support of Matthew and Crystal.

Regan Anson, spokeswoman for the Nebraska attorney general's office, said that as of Sept. 2 her office had received 283 out-of-state e-mails and letters with 72 percent supporting the Koso family's position. Of the 56 in-state letters and e-mails, 56 percent supported the family.

Apparently, there are people who think he shouldn't be prosecuted

There are people

That think Tookie should not have been executed also but the majority of the United States has morals.

I agree the mother should have been charged with something for allowing her daughter to have sex with an adult. Christ it's bad enough these kids are having sex with people thier own age.
