What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia
niece had a baby at 16 her mother forcefully took over the baby and kinda sent daughter packing with an abandoment warrant. and lots of threats girl was scared so she let her mother have her way.

mother of girl is 44 years old and 30 of the years DFCS has been involved in her life
lost her own kids to DFCS on 4 different occaisions has been involved in prostitution and illicet sex and has multiple personality disorder lives off the state and welfare when she can steal someones kids to put on her case is a trouble maker and her own family wont have anything to do with her.

without checking into her back ground judge gave temp custody to the grandmother of the baby what a moron , the babys mother tries to get the baby back on 2 different occasions but was denied because she didnt have a job or a stable place to live.

Grandmother keeps child until she is 4 years old and grandmother goes to jail on family violence act against her son.

mother of the 4 year old decides to file an emergency custody order to see if she can get her daughter back again by this time she is now married and has 2 more babies who are 9 months apart still no stable place to live and only has had a job for 5 weeks they live in a singlewide 3 bedroom trailor with 9 people in the house .

judge says no way again and I am given custody of my great neice for 2 weeks so they can get a place to live and jobs.

after 2 weeks they still havent done what the judge asks so I the great aunt am given temp custody for 1 year the grandmother is restrained from seeing the child and the mother is to get a job for 6 months and a place to live for 6 months and the judge will consider giving the child back.

the mother is given visitation 3 times a week for 2 hours a visit no over night stays we are lucky if we see her 3 times a month she never comes around and only brings gifts on her visits to make up for her not being there she tries to buy the childs love with the presents and the occasional phone call she pays no child support .

the mother signed guardianship papers over to me the great aunt she still wants to try to be the boss the child knows the mother in name only the mother has never had the oppertunity to raise the child on her own the child dont really know her.

the mother got back 8 thousand dollars on a tax return and insted of setting herself up in a house to live she spent it all on vacations and foolishness she continuse to fail to do what the court order ask her to do over and over my question is how many times does it take for us to go to court and her to fail to do what she is suppose to do before the judge will take away her parental rights because we have had her for along time now and we would like to keep her is there anything the mother can do now or do you think this situation will be permanent?

when the child was with her grandmother she weighed 60 pounds at 4 years old I got her and she lost 14 pounds as a result of being with the grandmother she has high colestrol at age 5

she was never sent to school and was drug around to 30 different counties in a year and a half

she had never been able to play outside or with other children now that I have her she is in school and is stable and has been for the past 8 months please help us we want to eventually adopt her if the mothers rights are terminated.
