After six grueling months I won and I retained primary placement of my daughter! Her father was trying to take her away because I wanted to move out of state. He lied in court about me, and said that the move was unreasonable. The new Judge said that they had erroneously placed the burdon of proof on me. He determined that moving was not a reason to change primary placement, and ruled in my favor.

I now have A LOT of legal fees, plus there were travel fees, loss of work for court, etc. Can I sue him for my legal fees?

My response:

Since you have an attorney, and since you were the one who petitioned for the "move-away", you really should ask your attorney if, under these facts, you have a right to reimbursement.

My opinion: No.
