IAAL, I am sure you are right and you offer good advice but I have been a stepper for 21 years the real mom was never in the picture I simply could not imagine life without my son and fully plan to adopt him so he gets full legal rights in the event of my death. I know you wont advise a stepper but I saw something on here that said thats abandoment by the bio mom and since hes now an adult it shouldnt be a problem to adopt him is that right? can anyone answer?? also this part of the forum was very interesting.
