What is the name of your state? NJ

I just learned that an "enemy" has aquired my birth certificate and other vital information.

What can I do the enforce the return of these papers ? Can I re[ort yhis person to the Police? A Court?

then, how exactly are you sure that they, in fact, DID acquire them?? In other words, how do you know they have them??

Why do you think they are *your* documents? Just because they have something with your information on it does not mean they are yours. Using a birth certificate for example, did he steal your birth certificate or did he get it from the government? If from the government, you don't have a property right to it to enforce. It may be a crime if he obtained it through false pretenses. If so, call the police. I don't think they will do much, but that's about all you can do until he harms you in some way from the use of that information.

Info edit:
If you call the police and tell them he has your info, they will assuredly do nothing. If you have some facutal basis to believe he committed a crime in obtaining that information, they will probably do nothing. If you have proof he committed a crime in obtaining the information, they may do something, but not necessicarily.
