What is the name of your state? NJ

I'm getting pestered by a collection group that is evidentally a huge scam. (Google Giove Law offices for info) My question is do I just flat out ignore them or should I send them a validation letter? Also, is there a cease and desist letter that says DO NOT CALL but still allows them to contact me by mail?

As I said, google Giove Law if you want specific information but to quote one place I found...

"Rookie lawyer, Rodney Anthony Giove, of Niagara Falls, NY is a 26 year old with a new law degree, who started out associated with a Niagara Falls, NY law firm. He either could not cut it, was fired or likely too inept to practice law. He now can be seen driving his new Range Rover around Niagara Falls LOADED with all the cash, he is making from his new career of renting his law license out as a debt collector.

Giove is renting his license to the illegal, and America's Worst Debt Collector, 'Lenahan law Offices' of Buffalo, NY. His new partners; Douglas J. Mackinnon, Mark Bohn and Daniel Lenahan make up the nucleus of the WORST debt collection organization in America.

Rodney is allowing his licensed to be rented from the VERY same address listed as Lenahan's corporate offices in Buffalo.

This can ONLY mean trouble:
Trouble for Rodney Anthony Giove.
Trouble for the future of his rented law license.
Trouble for anyone that uses his name with the collection of a debt.
Trouble for consumer receiving calls from thugs claiming to be "legal assistants" for Rodney Anthony Giove, Attorney at Law.

Trouble because Giove & Lenahan have NO collection licenses or bonds filed anywhere (as required by law) in the U.S.

It should be made perfectly clear that Rodney is incapable and has NEVER litigated a collection account under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the federal law that regulates debt collectors. Coincidentally, neither has the other rented law license owned by J. Daniel Lenahan litigated an FDCPA case. Why? Because they cannot, they have NO training, rented law license are NEVER used in a courtroom. Their value lies in the extortion value, made off unsuspecting consumers.

Rodney must have been having severe financial problems if he was desperate enough to rent out his license to the illegal and organized crime principles of Lenahan. This ticking bomb will ruin many lives, tear up families, and fill many, many prison cells when it explodes.

Anyone associated with the name Lenahan, Mark Bohn, Douglas J. MacKinnon, The Law Center. VA Attorney Harry E. Cohn, Account Management Services, Elite Recovery Services are being watched, information is being collected, tape recordings being assembled, it is just a matter of time until the indictments start flying. My sources tell me that organized crime statutes are being utilized to deal with this group on a large scale. These illegal (future inmates) are drunk on power and money (much like a drug dealer) who think they will never be caught or face the consequences of their actions.

Their debt collectors have been recorded posing as lawyers, court officers, and law enforcement officers, (state & federal) which is a felony. "
