What is the name of your state? california
pro per/personal injury/trial starts monday/last conference was today
i had my two treating physicians to testify. one just now says she will not testify unless she gets $500 per hour from the time she leaves her office until she returns. the court says that she is not declared an expert witness so she can not be paid $500 per hour and so she is out. she would write something.

the second doctor just told me he had unexpected emergency come up and will not be available to testify. he would write something.

the judge will not delay the trial to wait for the doctors to testify
too late to add statements from them he said
how do i introduce and prove medical condition/expenses without them? defense in the hallway laughed and said i won't stand a chance? there must be something i can do? please help!!

This is why it's a bad idea to represent yourself in important matters. My advice is find an attorney with experience fast.

ANY SPECIFIC HELP?

i have tried to get an attorney. all i have spoken to say i have an excellent case and i have done an amazingly good job as a pro per (even said i should become an attorney) but these attorneys do not want a case so far along that they did not do discovery on...some said they were too afraid to enter this late and go in cold turkey because they do not want to ruin their track record of wins, etc. i got one attorney right out of school and i knew more than he did/he was afraid to speak up/intimidated by the defense.

given it is just me and the trial starts monday..any general ideas as to how to present medical evidence? do i question myself about my injuries? can i ask myself about what is in my medical records and then read what is there? medical records are exhibits as well as several evaluation letters from doctors on my case and prognosis?

any help appreciated.
