My family has a situation where my great aunt is getting elderly and my family (not me) let her appoint her godchild (no relation) as power of attorney. long story short, in the past 3 or so months i have been taking care of everything for her and he complains she owes him money (he has control of all her finances - not much at all). A lot has happened recently he took her car to borrow (he says) and I want to know how to take him off as power of attorney. My mother and grandmother are 2nd powers of atty if that makes sense. I want them to be the power of atty. not him. My aunt agrees she wants to sit with me and take care of her bills and get her mail and see her money (right now she doesn't know what she has and get basically an allowance from him when he comes down maybe twice a month. He seems to confuse her when he is around also. any advice on how to do this. thanks,

If the old lady is still competent, have her revoke the power of attorney and give a new one to you or whoever.
