What is the name of your state (only U.S. law) Texas.?

I am in a quandry here,in 2007,well after my child had turned 18 and moved out of my exes home and gotten married my ex took me to court and was awarded a judgement of 48k in back support and 51k in interest in the State of Texas, for over 3 years I was trying to pay it off at $1000.00 a month, even though I really couldn't afford it with what I was making, went in an reduced it to $700.00 a month, have been paying all of this faithfully, but,now I had to have spinal cord surgery and I was diagnosed with leukemia, after my FMLA ran out my company terminated me, I have already paid over $80,000 to this debt yet with the interest (6% annually),they are saying that I still owe over $70,000,is there any way I can get this debt forgiven, since I am not able to work now and will probably be going on social security ?Please,I need some answers to this,Thank You and God Bless

From a necropost. Guess I'm in a kindly mood today...

How much - if any - is owed to the state, vs your ex? Have you spoken to your ex about your situation?
